My baby Minnie. Our neighbors found her in a shoe box with her sister on Christmas Eve when I was 3 years old. She was very small and sick and the vets told us she would probably not live. Needless to say she survived, and i picked out the name Minnie. My parents started a greyhound rescue a few years later and she did an amazing job of helping to show the greyhounds how to act in a house for the first time when they would come from the track. Minnie was always there when I needed someone to cry to. Minnie was my best friend for 14 years. We had to put her to sleep due to a tumor on her leg that couldn’t be removed and made it hard for her to walk. She will always hold a special place in my heart and no other pet can ever fill the hole that was created when she passed away.
